Inside North Korea After 5 Years of Isolation

For the first time in years, North Korea is finally opening up to foreign visitors, and I had the chance to go inside. Rason, a special economic zone near the borders of China and Russia, is one of the few places where outsiders can visit, and I wanted to see firsthand what’s happening there.

During COVID, North Korea shut itself off completely, enforcing some of the strictest border controls in the world. Now, trade is resuming, and limited tourism is back. But what’s life really like after years of isolation? In this video, I take you inside North Korea’s Rason zone, exploring markets, meeting locals, and seeing what’s changed since the border closure.

Join me as I step into one of the most secretive places on Earth. 🇰🇵
